Definition and Classification
The Foreigner Work Permit in China (referred to as "work permit") is a certificate for foreign citizens to work legally in China, divided into three categories: A, B, and C:
Category A (High-end Talents)
Scientists, technology leaders, international entrepreneurs, specialized talents who meet the "high-precision, advanced, and shortage" and market demand orientation.
Category B (Professional Talents)
Professional and technical personnel who meet the foreigner work guidance catalog and job requirements, have a bachelor's degree or above and more than 2 years of relevant work experience.
Category C (Other Personnel)
Personnel who meet the needs of the domestic labor market and engage in temporary, seasonal, non-technical or service work.
